About the Organiser

The Indian Journal of Constitutional Law (IJCL) is an annual flagship journal published by NALSAR University of Law. It focuses on constitutional and comparative constitutional law and operates under the aegis of the M.K. Nambyar SAARCLAW Chair in Comparative Constitutional Studies and the Constitutional Law Society at NALSAR University. The Journal is student-edited and peer-reviewed and has featured contributions from notable scholars and jurists.

About the Call

IJCL invites scholars, academics, practitioners, and researchers with expertise in constitutional law and related disciplines to join its panel of peer reviewers. Peer reviewers contribute to ensuring that published work meets high standards of scholarship and advances academic discourse. The Journal supports a broad intellectual vision including doctrinal, interdisciplinary, comparative, empirical, and other non-doctrinal approaches to constitutional inquiry.

Eligibility

  • Expertise in constitutional law or allied disciplines.
  • Relevant research and professional experience aligned with IJCL’s focus.

Reviewer Responsibilities and Conflict of Interest

Reviewers will be invited to assess manuscripts aligned with their expertise and may accept or decline invitations as per their availability. They are required to provide independent and objective evaluations while maintaining confidentiality.

Any actual or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed prior to accepting assignments. Conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to, relationships with authors such as family, close associates, recent collaborators, colleagues from the same institution, or supervisory relationships, as well as situations where confidential information could benefit the reviewer personally or professionally.

How to Apply?

Interested candidates should email their CV to ijcl@nalsar.ac.in with the subject line “Expression of Interest 6 IJCL Peer Reviewer” by 5 August 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Applications will be reviewed by the Editorial Board considering qualifications, publications, and experience. The Board also aims to build a diverse reviewer panel representing various institutions and geographic regions.
