Burnished Law Journal is a student-led legal publication that creates opportunities for students to engage with legal research, academic writing, legal developments, and digital legal communication.
The Journal provides students with opportunities to contribute to its editorial, research, and digital initiatives while gaining practical experience in the legal publishing ecosystem.
About the Internship
Burnished Law Journal is inviting applications for the following internship positions:
- Social Media Intern – 5 positions
- Research Intern – 5 positions
Applicants may apply for their preferred role based on their interests and skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Social Media Intern
- Assisting with the planning and execution of social media content.
- Developing content around legal developments, articles, opportunities, and Journal initiatives.
- Supporting social media campaigns and digital outreach.
- Assisting with content calendars and audience engagement.
- Contributing ideas for improving the Journal’s digital presence.
Research Intern
- Conducting legal research on assigned topics.
- Researching recent legal developments, judgments, legislation, and academic issues.
- Assisting in preparing research-based content for the Journal.
- Supporting editorial and publication-related research.
- Assisting with fact-checking and source verification.
Eligibility
- Students currently enrolled in law colleges or universities in India may apply.
- Law students from any year of study may apply.
- Applicants should have an interest in legal research, legal writing, social media, or academic publishing, depending on the position applied for.
- Prior professional experience is not mandatory.
Duration
The internship will be for six weeks, with the possibility of extension up to 12 weeks based on performance, requirements, and mutual agreement.
Mode and Location
The internship is remote. Applicants may participate from anywhere in India.
Work Timings
Work timings will be flexible, subject to assigned responsibilities, deadlines, and Journal activities.

Stipend
This is an unpaid internship opportunity. No stipend will be provided.
