The DPIIT–IPR Chair at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, is inviting applications for its Offline Internship Programme for November 2026.
About the Internship
The programme aims to provide students with practical exposure to Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), academic research, legal developments, policy-related issues and institutional activities undertaken by the DPIIT–IPR Chair.
Programme Details
Mode: Offline
Location: DPIIT–IPR Chair Office, National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, Jharkhand
Duration: Initially one month; may be extended up to a maximum of three months, subject to satisfactory performance and approval of the DPIIT–IPR Chair
Vacancies: A maximum of two interns per month
Stipend: INR 10,000 per month for the approved duration of the internship
Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be required to work under the supervision and guidance of the DPIIT–IPR Chair. They must actively participate in the research, academic, administrative and outreach activities assigned to them.
Eligibility
Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Law or related disciplines may apply.
Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in Intellectual Property Rights.
Applicants must possess a basic to advanced understanding of Intellectual Property Rights.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant academic, research, publication or project experience in the field of IPRs.
Selection Process
Selection will be made by the DPIIT–IPR Chair on the basis of merit, academic credentials, research experience, Statement of Purpose and the relevance of the applicant’s academic interests to the objectives and activities of the Chair.
The decision of the DPIIT–IPR Chair regarding the selection of interns will be final.
Required Documents
Curriculum Vitae: A detailed CV highlighting academic qualifications, grades, research experience, publications and relevant achievements.
Statement of Purpose: An SOP of not more than 500 words explaining the applicant’s interest in Intellectual Property Rights and the reasons for seeking an internship with the DPIIT–IPR Chair.
Referees: Contact details of two academic or professional referees.

Important Note
Physical attendance at the DPIIT–IPR Chair Office, NUSRL Ranchi, is mandatory throughout the internship.
No online, virtual or remote internship facility will be provided.
Selected candidates will be responsible for making their own arrangements for accommodation, food and local transportation.
The internship will commence on the date communicated to the selected candidates by the DPIIT–IPR Chair.
