About the Fellowship

TRIF is a research-driven fellowship that empowers emerging scholars and policy enthusiasts to explore the evolving intersection of technology, law, and regulation. Fellows contribute to high-impact research papers and policy publications under the TRIF Report – advancing innovative solutions to contemporary regulatory challenges.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured and rigorous legal and policy research on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital governance, data protection, cybersecurity, platform regulation, fintech, and other evolving areas of technology regulation.
  • Contribute substantively to NIDAN’s flagship publication — the Technology & Regulatory Innovation (TRIF) Project, a multidisciplinary research initiative exploring the future of technology governance and regulatory innovation in India and globally.
  • Analyse legislative developments, judicial decisions, policy papers, regulatory frameworks, and international best practices to develop evidence-based insights on contemporary technology policy.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and refining research papers, policy briefs, and scholarly publications in accordance with the Centre’s publication standards.

Eligibility/qualifications

Students enrolled in 5 year LLB course (IInd Year onwards)., 3-year LL.B., or LL.M.
